Eep! How cool is it that I earned a spot on the Biting Bad blog tour?! If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you should know how HUGE a fan I am of the Chicagoland Vampires series. I love this series like I love doughnuts. Which is to say, A LOT. So, excuse me while I fangirl for a few moments, because not only do I get to talk about Merit's Book Boyfriends, but I have a guest post from Chloe Neill herself to help me do it. I know! But, first, here's a little about Biting Bad.
Biting Bad (Chicagoland Vampires #8), by Chloe Neill
Published August 6, 2013
Publisher: NAL Penguin
Genre: urban fantasy
To Buy: Amazon * Barnes & Noble * Indiebound * Apple iBookstore
Synopsis: Merit has been a vampire for only a short while, but she’s already seen a lifetime’s worth of trouble. She and her Master, centuries-old Ethan Sullivan, have risked their lives time and again to save the city they love. But not all of Chicago is loving them back.
Anti-vampire riots are erupting all over town, striking vampires where it hurts the most. A splinter group armed with Molotov cocktails and deep-seated hate is intent on clearing the fanged from the Windy City come hell or high water.
Merit and her allies rush to figure out who’s behind the attacks, who will be targeted next, and whether there’s any way to stop the wanton destruction. The battle for Chicago is just beginning, and Merit is running out of time.
Guest Post - Chloe Neill
Hi, everyone, and welcome to the BITING BAD Blog Tour! From July 29, 2013 to August 9, 2013 (click here for full schedule), I’m visiting blogs to give Merit an opportunity to rate the men of the Chicagoland Vampires series–are they “Book Boyfriend” material? Let’s see what she has to say.
Want a chance to win some amazing CLV prizes? Then, go enter Chloe’s Biting Bad Grand Prize Giveaway, which will run July 29, 2013 through August 9, 2013 on Chloe’s web site.Seth Tate, Former Mayor of ChicagoHair/eye color: Black/Blue
Species: Fallen Angel/Messenger
First appearance in book (book/page): FNB, page 236
Thoughts: We’ve got history; Seth Tate is a friend of the family, and I’ve known him since I was a girl in pointe shoes. He was one of Chicago’s most eligible bachelors, but he definitely has a darker side.
Verdict: D+ / Possibly book boyfriend material for those who love redeemable bad boys if, and only if, he proves that he’s actually redeemable. Will update review upon additional facts. ;-)
