FOOTBALL FRIDAY & GIVEAWAY: Meet Dylan from All Broke Down

It's time again for Football Friday! This week, I get to introduce you to Dylan Brenner - activist, and all-around good girl.

Dylan is a lover of lost causes and tough projects. She is a good little girl who is used to doing what her parents tell her to. She dated a lukewarm boy, and the only time she ever acted out was when she and her BFF Matt decided to take up an impossible cause. Dylan really needed to get a little dirty.

Then Dylan meets Silas. In jail, no less. And Silas sees in her an opportunity to better himself. Like, being in her company, her goodness will somehow rub off on him. Funny thing is, Dylan seems to carpe diem too, and she allows Silas to tarnish her sparkly sweetness just a little bit.

I can't wait for you to meet Dylan Brenner! Learn more about her today on Cora Carmack's website.

All Broke Down (Rusk University #2), by Cora Carmack
To Be Published October 28, 2014
Publisher: William Morrow
Genre: new adult contemporary romance
To Buy: Amazon * Barnes & Noble

(Synopsis) Dylan fights for lost causes. Probably because she used to be one.

Environmental issues, civil rights, corrupt corporations, and politicians you name it, she's probably been involved in a protest. When her latest cause lands her in jail overnight, she meets Silas Moore. He's in for a different kind of fighting. And though he's arrogant and infuriating, she can't help being fascinated with him. Yet another lost cause.

Football and trouble are the only things that have ever come naturally to Silas. And it's trouble that lands him in a cell next to do-gooder Dylan. He's met girls like her before fixers, he calls them, desperate to heal the damage and make him into their ideal boyfriend. But he doesn't think he's broken, and he definitely doesn't need a girlfriend trying to change him. Until, that is, his anger issues and rash decisions threaten the only thing he really cares about: his spot on the Rusk University football team. Dylan might just be the perfect girl to help.

Because Silas Moore needs some fixing after all.

FOOTBALL FRIDAY & ARC GIVEAWAY: Coach Cole & the Rusk University Wildcats

Hard to believe that this will be the last Football Friday post. But, it's for a good reason... it means that the release of ALL LINED UP is right around the corner! For this last Football Friday, we're taking a closer look at Coach Cole and the Rusk University Wildcats.

Coach Cole is a great coach and role model for his players. He is hard on them and they love him for it. He may work them to the bone, but he's never given them any reason to not respect the hell out of him. Coach Cole inspires them to work together and be better.

Coach Cole may have a great relationship with his players, but his relationship with his only child is less than perfect. He raised her by himself, so she knows everything there is to know about football and more. He seems to care more about the game than about his daughter at times, which Dallas tries to pass off as no big deal.

The Rusk University Wildcats go through some growing pains and have to learn to work together - first under the leadership of Levi and then Carson. Carson proves to be just what the team needed. His mantra - No Easy Days - becomes one the entire team shares.

All Lined Up (Rusk University, #1)

(From Goodreads) In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.

Dallas Cole loathes football. That's what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.

But life doesn't always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.

Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It's obliterated.

Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter.

And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.

FOOTBALL FRIDAY & ARC GIVEAWAY: Meet Ryan Blake from All Lined Up

It's that time again! It's Football Friday, and this week, I get to introduce you to the team manager for the Rusk University Wildcats, and sorta-kinda Carson's BFF - Ryan Blake.

Carson meets Ryan in the Rusk University football weight room. They hit it off, and Ryan takes it upon himself to help Carson try and achieve his dream of becoming the starting quarterback. He helps him lift weights, and sets him up to run extra drills with other players. Ryan is invested in Carson's future, and Carson is so thankful for his help.

As Carson's only real friend on campus, Ryan becomes his go-to guy for advice regarding Dallas. He also slips very easily into the role of wingman. Although Ryan is concerned about Carson potentially dating Coach Cole's daughter, he still tries to help Carson out by creating situations where he and Dallas can be alone - even if that means taking Stella out on a date.

Ryan is a cutie with a goofy sense of humor. He has great rapport with Carson and the rest of the team and aspirations to go into sports medicine. And he thinks he's super smart. :)

FOOTBALL FRIDAY & ARC GIVEAWAY - Meet the Bad Boys from All Lined Up

It's FRIDAY! Once again, I get the chance to introduce you to a character from Cora Carmack's ALL LINED UP (Rusk University #1). Actually... this week, you get a two-fer. Not only am I going to talk to you today about TWO characters from the book, but, lucky you, they're both boys. Hot, sweaty football boys. Feast your eyes on Silas Moore and Levi Abrams - the bad boys of the Rusk University Wildcats.

Levi, Silas and Carson are all teammates on the Rusk University football team. Levi is the first string quarterback, as well as Dallas' ex-boyfriend. He's a big guy. And I do mean BIG. He has a broad chest, dark hair and dark eyes. He's a party animal, and honestly, kind of a douchebag.

Silas is one of Levi's best friends. He is the heart of the football team. He motivates his team and supports them unconditionally. He's a gorgeous guy. He's got light hair and eyes. He's muscular. He's fun. Silas Moore is a guy you just want to be around, but wouldn't necessarily trust.

With a team like this, I don't know how girls stay away from each and every practice. I mean, really. Would you? But, underneath the hot exterior, these boys are complicated and are faced with very real problems. Levi has to be the best, no matter the cost. Silas has the weight of his whole team on his shoulders. Carson has to be good at school or else his field experience won't matter. Want one more peek at these boys before we move on to some more fun stuff?

FOOTBALL FRIDAY & ARC GIVEAWAY - Meet Stella from All Lined Up

It's Friday, so you know what that means! It's FOOTBALL FRIDAY, and this week, it's my pleasure to introduce you to the quirky, fun-loving Stella Santos from Cora Carmack's ALL LINED UP (Rusk University #1). Stella is BFF to Dallas Cole, and lover of men and football. You ready to meet her?

Meet Stella Santos

Appearance: tiny, pixie haircut, exotic eyes, olive skin
Characteristics: outgoing, artistic, loves football, parties and guys, tries to coax Dallas out of her shell but protects her at the same time

I LOVE Stella. She has a tendency to get a little carried away with her free-spirited ways, but Dallas is her perfect opposite. She has the ability to bring Stella back down out of the clouds and remind her that actions always have consequences.

True to her nature, Stella is an art major, so she's creative and very fashion-forward. For all of her wild ways, Stella is able to rein it in if she thinks Dallas is upset or in trouble. Then, Stella can be every bit of a lioness as what Carson thinks Dallas is.
